Pastor: Fr. Paul MacNeil
I was appointed as pastor of Our Lady of the Scapular parish in November 2015 and I am delighted to be here. Before that, I was pastor of St. Ann's parish in Fenwick Ontario, a small but loving community about 30 minutes from here. I was born and raised in St. Catharines and ordained to the priesthood in 1999. Currently I am Chair of the Niagara Catholic District School Board and I'm working on my PhD in Religious Studies at McMaster University. As your pastor, my first priority is just to listen, to get to know you and understand the best way for me to serve you and to bring you closer to each other and to God through Christ.

Pastoral Team
Pastor: Fr. Michael Basque
Father Michael Basque was born in Oshawa, Ontario in 1958. After attending Elementary and Secondary School there, he graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in 1981. He worked for a short period of time as a journalist before entering St. Augustine’s Seminary in Toronto in September 1984. He was ordained a Priest for the Diocese of St. Catharines, Ontario on May 27, 1989. He has served in a number of parishes in the Diocese as an Associate Pastor and Pastor and as Roman Catholic Chaplain at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario from 1995-1998. He went on his Marriage Encounter
Weekend in November 1997 and his Deeper (Training) Weekend in 1999. He started presenting weekends in 2001 and has done so in both Canada and the United States since that time. He served as Canadian- Caribbean Ecclesial Team Priest from 2015-2023 and has been Region 4 Canada (Ontario-English Quebec) Ecclesial Team Priest since August 2022. In his spare time, Father Basque enjoys reading and hiking.
Parochial Vicar: Fr. Daniel Corso
Fr. Daniel Corso was born in St. Catharines, and graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA before entering the seminary. After 7 years, he was ordained a priest and his first assignment is here at Our Lady of the Scapular. He loves being a priest, and considers it an honour and a privilege to serve this corner of Niagara Falls. Business Manager: Mrs. Valerie Rollin
I have been working for the Diocese of St. Catharines in the French parishes for a number of years prior to joining the OLOS family in August of 2018. In my role as Business Manager, I look after all the financial bookkeeping needs of the parish as well as the property management and hall rentals, so if you’re needing to book a hall rental, or needing a tax receipt feel free to contact me here or in the parish office anytime. Secretary: Christina Woodhouse
Christina is a Mom of 3 boys, Chase (13), Connor (13) and Greyson (7) who are all often seen around the parish helping out their Mom and the rest of the staff. If you would like to contact her for any reception needs (ie: mass intentions) please call the office or use this form.
